This was the second test of my ability to travel in an RV. This time for a month! We rented a 24 foot Adventurer and I must say that this would be more comfortable than the Travato we had last year. There was enough room for both of us on the bed!

Sweater wasn’t too sure about it though. He spent the first day trembling and didn’t eat for 3 days. But he was adjusting. He even walked more than 15 feet without digging in his heels, which was more than he did at home.

We arrived in Gibsons the first day and wanted to eat at the historic Molly’s Reach. We even saw Relic, Nick and Molly and all their memorabilia from the long running show The Beachcombers. And we lucked out to be able to find a municipal parking lot to stay in for the night.

Day 2 was a serendipitous day. We went up to visit Smiley at Roberts Creek. Kelly and Chuck were most hospitable. We shared stories about art, fire fighters and all sorts of life adventures.

Allan was put to work mucking Smiley’s stall. Now if only I could get him to clean the bathrooms at home!

We were so engrossed in our visit that Allan hadn’t had time to set up his painting and I’d only gotten little bits and pieces of knitting time in. We ended our final night on the side of the road at Sechelt, a beautiful view on one side, highway traffic on the other. A lovely and lively lunch with our friend Paula at Pebble Beach set us up just right for our move up the coast.
