It was just like I had seen in pictures and in movies. The vineyards, rolling hills and hazy skies were picturesque. After spending 5 days chasing the Palio, it was great to chill and wander.
We came into a little town called Castellina in Chianti. It was quaint and made for visitors. The market was lined with small gift shops, restaurants and wine-tasting shops. We came upon one wine shop in the lower cellar streets that looked just like a wine shop should look. One shop further we found beautiful photographs and books of Tuscany and Allan found a new photographer friend in Andrea Rontini. Chianti and beautiful images; it was a nice way to wind up our Tuscan experience.
